I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of creating this piece. All 36 hours of painstaking sketching, shading and detailing of this image. The feathers on the body and around the beak were particularly fun as well as obviously the eye (which in my opinion is usually the most enjoyable part to detail.)

The original piece (now sold) was drawn in A2 on white heavy-guage paper using Derwent charcoal pencils and blocks. Prints are now available of this image (please see links at the left of the page for my store page.)
